Bachelor-/ Master Thesis: »Development of a cyber security concept for industrial 5G use cases«

In the department »Production Quality«, one aspect of your tasks includes the conceptualization of solution approaches to transfer novel technologies into the industry.

Within the scope of your thesis, you will investigate how a cyber security concept can be designed to enable secure industrial 5G communication in different application domains (verticals). Here, you will partly work on your tasks in our institute in collaboration with international partners from an EU funded research project.

What you will do

• Research the current state of cyber security aspects in industrial 5G communication

• Design a concept to integrate cyber security aspects into different industrial 5G use cases

• Validate the developed concept together with our industry and research partners, With its focus on developing key technologies that are vital for the future and enabling the commercial utilization of this work by business and industry, Fraunhofer plays a central role in the innovation process. Ihr Profil

• You are studying mechanical engineering, computer science, computational engineering science (CES), electrical engineering or a comparable subject

• First experiences in industrial cyber security (standards and frameworks) are advantageous

• A high degree of initiative, motivation and collaborative skills

• Good language skills in English
