The Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology is Europe's leading center for contract research and development in laser technology. The Department of Laser Medical Technology and Biophotonics develops new measurement methods for use in industry and medical technology. We are looking for a student assistant with software skills to use our embedded systems for a wide range of measurement tasks.
What you will do

You will program a metrological application in medical technology using methods and libraries from image processing.

You will also support us in programming the acquisition of spectra and their processing on the FPGA of a frame grabber card

You will program the PC software for configuring and controlling the algorithms on the FPGA

Your tasks will include designing the transfer of the processed data to the PC RAM
Ihr Profil

You are studying computer science, electrical engineering or a related technical or scientific course and are at least in your 3rd semester

You also have very good knowledge of C/C++, experience with Windows programming and Git version management, as well as knowledge of HLS and/or AMD Vivado

Ideally, you have basic knowledge of Linux

The weekly working time is 39 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
