Your responsibilities:
- Derive customer requirements on active alignment lines and transfer them into tech-nical specifications for the technical teams.
- Define technical and functional key parameters of active alignment lines, like through-put, cost estimates, quality requirements etc.
- Analyze the industry trends for active alignment of optical components in general.
- Proactively interact with key players in the optical communication market like suppliers of photonic components, and end customers integrating photonic components into their products.
- Define and delegate development tasks for the technical realization of customer re-quirements/specs.
- Green-light machine concepts which fall under the response of the active alignment product line
- Keep up-to-date configurations with new company features, options, and industry trends.
- Configure/define a technical proposal starting from prospect?s requirements.
- Drive acquired project technically and have close cooperation with the operation team and consult them technically
- Cost oriented approach while configuring machine concepts.
- Create quotations in strong cooperation with Sales Managers.
- For strategic opportunities visit customers with or without sales managers to identify prospects? known and unknown requirements.
- Make product/requirements improvement recommendations.
- Work/network with R&D, System Engineering and Operations engineers to leverage their know-how in the technical proposals.
- Strong network with System Engineering to create technical proposals.
- Support Sales Managers in their opportunity qualification visits.
- Support Project Managers upon Final Design Review of projects.
- Provide ideas on what and how to market ficonTEC machines.
- Prepare/be part of webinar and/or technical videos.
- Participate in national and international trade shows.
- Prepare/participate in customer meetings/calls all around the world.
Your Profil
Candidates should demonstrate great active listening skills, patience, and confidence. Outstanding candidates are self-starters with superb networking abilities, research skills, and a good eye to identify strengths and weakness of our machines vs. the prospect requirements.- Able to relocate in Bremen area.
- From 3 to 5 years of experience in machine design and automation processes.
- Great verbal and written communication skills (active listening, good communicator in verbal and written interactions) to summarize, express and explain the customer re-quirements to the technical teams.
- Able to work alone and with a team, self-motivated and entrepreneurial.
- Good organizational skills for scheduling and managing customer meetings, deriving and summarizing customer needs.
- Good technical understanding to transfer customer needs into technical requirements.
- Technical university degree is preferred, but not required.
- Solution-oriented as well as customer-focused way of thinking and acting, able to step in the customer shoes to change the view on a project.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to details, organized and proactive.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Available to travel with short notice.
