Junior Accountant

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness across accounting and finance activities. • Maintain accurate accounting records for Ontex Australia and related entities

• Update accounting systems for customer collections, supplier invoices, and payments

• Prepare supplier payments, sales representative claims, rebates, and other disbursements

• Post journal entries and reconcile ledgers (AP, AR, intercompany, bank accounts)

• Follow up on customer payments and maintain up-to-date collection records

• Process credit card and cheque receipts and ensure accurate bank reconciliations

• Generate regular sales reports for management and sales teams

• Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and month-end processes

• Investigate and reconcile financial discrepancies through data collection and analysis

• Support team goals by contributing to related accounting and administrative tasks

Ihr Profil

• Bachelor's degree in Business (Accounting) or equivalent

• Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping practices

• Experience using automated accounting systems and Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets, databases)

• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and ensure accuracy

• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise competing deadlines

• Ability to interpret and follow instructions, guidelines, and processes

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
