Ihre Aufgaben

We are looking for an Inhouse Legal Counsel Data Protection (m/f/x) initially for 1 year. In this role, you will have responsibility right from the start and, as part of our legal department, you will have the opportunity to advise the departments on legal issues that arise in day-to-day business and the strategic development of our business, and to take on new legal challenges. On the other hand, you can freely organise your working hours, have great and helpful colleagues and can decide for yourself whether you would like to work from the office or remotely. • Together with the Head of Data Protection, you will drive forward all strategic data protection topics and the data protection culture at idealo. This also includes the implementation and continuous development of our data protection management system.

• You advise and support the specialist departments and subsidiaries in the monitoring and implementation of data protection issues in Germany and worldwide.

• You develop strategies to minimise risks and are responsible for the further development of processes, such as the clarification of roles (commissioned processing, joint responsibility) and the practical design of consents (especially in the CMP context), etc.

• You conduct audits and trainings and are responsible for drafting and negotiating contracts with domestic and foreign partners.

• Together with IT Security, you work on the design and implementation of risk-appropriate technical and organisational measures.

Ihr Profil

• You are a fully qualified lawyer or business lawyer and already have 3-5 years of professional experience in data protection and contract law and ideally experience in dealing with supervisory authorities.

• Having a strategic, solution-oriented and entrepreneurial thinking characterises your advice on all legal issues.

• You have a strong understanding of data protection law and business contexts.

• You have a high affinity for e-commerce, digitalisation and IT topics.

• You convince with a self-reliant way of working, clear communication, hands-on mentality and confident negotiation skills, both in English and in German.
