We are currently hiring two Engineering Managers to join us at commercetools, supporting the Priceless and Checkout Teams. After the first interviews, we will determine which position is the best fit. The Priceless team focuses on continuously enhancing commercetools promotions and pricing capabilities to make it the obvious choice for our customers to effortlessly create their commerce experience in a reliable and scalable way. The Checkout team focuses on providing a great experience around the core of every commerce solution: the checkout and all connected services around carts, orders, payments, shipping, tax, and a variety of related workflows. These features are crucial to our customers to build their solution on top of commercetools in a reliable and scalable way.

You are responsible for the delivery and the processes of your team:

You are crucial for getting things rolling and ensuring a smooth delivery You are removing blockers and seeking process improvements collaboratively with your team and your Product Manager

You are curious instead of certain and on a continuous journey to improve your team You live and breathe our tech vision and consult the engineers accordingly You work collaboratively and collaborate with Engineering Managers of other teams, Tech Leads, Agile Coaches, a People Business Partner, Head of Engineering, and the CTO

Ihr Profil

Multiple years of experience as a manager of software engineers in a product team An engineering background ideally in backend development on the JVM Experience in the commerce industry A passion for growing, coaching, and mentoring your team with a track record of doing so Experience in leading distributed teams and fostering belonging in a remote setup An excellent understanding of agile software development methodologies, best practices, and tools. You know their trade-offs and how they can support a smooth delivery of your teams goals A solid understanding of software architecture and system design A beginners mindset Excellent soft skills, most importantly communication, empathy, and self-reflection Fluent written and spoken English skills to work in an international environment Excitement to share your knowledge and learn from everyone around you about leadership and new technologies
