Ihre Aufgaben

As a Network Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and efficiency of our cloud based network infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing and troubleshooting various aspects of our SDN stack, network provisioning, automation, and related components. Your mission will be to maintain high availability, drive automation initiatives, and support our development teams in delivering innovative cloud solutions.

Tasks

• Be responsible for the implementation, orchestration, monitoring and troubleshooting of all SDN based virtual network applications.

• Be accountable for the maintenance, configuration, and automation of the entire network infrastructure, encompassing servers and network devices, based on both Ethernet and Infiniband technology.

• Act as a liaison between the SDN development and cross platform teams, aiding in the provision and execution of innovative networking solutions.

• Participate in the design and deployment of emerging network technologies, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices.

• Engage in regular on-call rotations to provide expert support for network application issues during non-business hours.

Ihr Profil

• 3+ years of experience in Linux networking, particularly with Debian. Strong Python programming skills are essential.

• In-depth expertise in networking protocols, focusing on BGP, EVPN, and VXLAN. Experience with routing daemons like FRRouting and Quagga is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in automation frameworks (SaltStack, Ansible, Terraform or similar) and SDN technologies. Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines for network automation is a plus.

• Strong troubleshooting skills, including network incident resolution and performance optimization. Familiarity with real-time monitoring tools is a plus.

• Fluent communication in English to communicate with international teams. German is a plus; Good communication skills and a proactive approach to issue resolution.

• Supplementary Skills: Knowledge of Virtual Network Functions (VNF), familiarity with SONiC and experience in cloud networking paradigms.
