Your Role
Procurement within Symrise is a critical function that is integral to the performance of the group as it is responsible for a signicant part of costs, the Raw Material Cost. Objectives of Procurement is to ensure stable financial performance and on-going supply continuity across its wide-ranging supply chains.
Procurement is a key stakeholder within Symrise and it interacts with every part of the business, acting as a gatekeeper for any supplier led innovation, cost-savings initiatives, supply continuity, sustainability, etc….
Ihre Aufgaben
The Global Procurement Category manager is a pivotal role within Symrise TN&H and responsible for a specific raw material category (e.g. Yeast Extracts and Flavor enhancers).,

to define and lead the strategy for the respective category to drive global benefits and savings initiatives,

to lead global tenders and negotiations,

to manage, develop & onboard suppliers for future partnering & innovation,

to secure business continuity through risk mitigation,

to deliver supply market information for supporting customer pricing, future developments & supply risk,

to evelop, align, and drive strategic projects to improve procurement processes, tools, and efficiencies.

to improve Working Capital elements (DPO & Inventory)

to implement responsible sourcing strategy in close collaboration with regional Procurement Managers/ Buyers, internal business partners and aligned with Global Sustainability global criteria.

to provide coaching and feedback on the Strategic Sourcing processes to build capability and mature practices across Procurement teams

to effectively communicate strategies, results, and metrics to management teams as required.

to stay abreast of industry trends for assigned categories. Provide guidance and recommendations to business units in order to support margin and top line growth.

Ihr Profil

Degree in Business Administration, Food science, Supply Chain, or similar field.

Min. 5 years job experience in strategic procurement.

Strong understanding of strategic procurement processes, methods, and tools.

Experience in a matrix organisation.

Strategic thinker with a conceptual approach.

Experience in project management.

Good prioritisation and structured way of working.

Open and pro-active communicator, good presentation skills.

Ability to interact and communicate in an appropriate manner to the target group and curious about intercultural contexts.

Negotiation skills even in complex environments.

Computer skills: MS365, SAP.

Willingness to travel 20-30% of the time.

Fluent English mandatory, other additional languages are an advantage.
