The Finance and Controlling department is looking for a specialist in financial accounting / accounts payable.
As a member of the Helmholtz Association, the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research, based in Braunschweig, conducts cutting-edge research in the field of infectious diseases. Our scientists develop novel methods and strategies to fight infectious diseases faster and more effectively. Our common goal is to develop novel approaches for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases. Our research centres on bacterial and viral pathogens, their interaction with the human immune system and new effective agents and vaccines.
The Finance and Controlling Department manages and administers the finances of the Centre and its facilities. The finance department carries out financial and asset accounting and prepares annual reports, tax returns and statistics for external recipients. The department also works on projects in close co-operation with scientific institutions and other administrative areas. The Financial Accounting team is responsible for external accounting for the HZI. Tasks

Electronic invoice verification and validation of incoming invoices

Checking incoming invoices for formal and content-related correctness and complaints in the event of errors

Checking and processing reminders in the accounts payable area

Clarification of unclear payment transactions including supplier enquiries
