Ihre Aufgaben

The Maintenance Engineering Team within the Galileo Project plays a crucial role in managing Level 2 and Level 3 maintenance of the Galileo Ground Infrastructure, which includes the Galileo Mission Segment, Galileo Control Segment, GNSS Service Center, and Galileo Security Monitoring Center. As the Technical Manager, you will be instrumental in helping the organization achieve its goals in this area. You will develop a deep understanding of the Galileo Project and manage key relationships with critical stakeholders, including the European Space Agency (ESA) and the European Union Space Programme Agency (EUSPA). Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the operability and maintainability of the Galileo ground system, with a focus on the technical management and maintenance of the Ground elements, as well as overseeing supply chain management with suppliers. You will work closely with Project Managers, External Partners, and the Supply Chain office to ensure success. This is a unique opportunity to apply your engineering background in the context of a world-class satellite control infrastructure. As Technical Manager your key responsibilities include:

• Development, optimization and implementation of processes and procedures for maintenance activities of the Galileo Ground Segment

• Manage supply chain processes and subcontractor performance for maintenance

• Review system designs and make recommendations

• Attend technical board meetings and coordinate maintenance activities

• Plan and execute maintenance tasks, including incident resolution, coordinate internal and external partners for maintenance support

• Manage safety measures during maintenance to ensure compliance

• Ensure the L2 Maintenance team is trained and equipped

• Analize and monitor ground system performance and KPI relevant maintenance data, address performance gaps

• Error analysis and correction

• Represent the team in international stakeholder meetings

  In this role you will assume the following supply chain responsibilities:

• Manage contracts with international partners for maintenance services

• Reporting and risk assassment, which includes providing regular updates on supply chain-related maintenance issues

• Coordinate with stakeholders to manage subcontrators for maintenance tasks

• Monitor service implementation and quality

• Establish and maintain relationships with subcontractors

• Participate in the definition of maintenance KPIs and contribution to GfR's supply chain strategy for maintenance

Ihr Profil

• Excellent experience of LEOP ground station systems

• Several years of experience in working with the CCSDS standard

• Several years of experience with Linux

• Very good programming skills (at least 5 years of experience)

• Master's degree in engineering or equivalent

• An advanced level of English is mandatory

• Excellent Italian language skills (at least C1)
