- Career Development and Benefits The role would require a strong understanding of cultural differences and the ability to work effectively with a geographically distributed team. As Business Analyst / Application Owner, you will support and/or be responsible for:
System Management and Maintenance:
- Coordinate with external providers to ensure the daily operations, maintenance, and support of the application(s).
- Monitor the performance and service levels provided by the external team to ensure system availability and reliability.
- Oversee system upgrades, patches, and enhancements in collaboration with the external provider.
Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to the internal team and the external provider.
- Ensure seamless integration and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and the external provider.
- Lead the design and implementation of technical solutions to meet business requirements, working closely with the external team.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
- Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement, working with the external provider.
- Optimize system configurations and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, in collaboration with the external team.
- Implement best practices for system performance tuning and capacity planning, with input from the external provider.
System Security and Compliance:
- Ensure the relevant application comply with internal and external security standards and regulations, in partnership with the external provider.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security protocols, user access controls, and data protection measures by the external team.
- Support regular security audits and vulnerability assessments, coordinating with the external provider.
Support Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
- Coordinate with external partners for system integrations and support.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions, involving the external team as necessary.
Stay ahead of the curve:
- Actively support of finance transformation activities.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Research and evaluate new technologies and trends in data warehousing and analytics.
Immediate focus areas and priorities may include:
- Streamlining and optimizing the dataflows between finance systems
- Setup of a application specific data quality control system, support for building integrated validation & control framework
- Managing the application lifecycle and integration aspects from phase-in to decommissioning of the application
What you bring:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills combined with good technical understanding and pro-active mindset essential
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst / Application Owner or similar role.
- Comprehensive understanding of the technological framework (SAP, Non-SAP) relevant to asset manager's business as well as the underlying interfaces
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with proven ability to design and develop application changes
- Ability to adapt and respond to challenging / fast-paced situations and to deal with high complexity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in English. Additional German language skills would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other relevant software (e.g., Power BI).
