Ihre Aufgaben

As a Senior Underwriter for Engineering in the Energy & Construction (E&C) division, you will be responsible for underwriting profitable new business as well as maintaining and securing existing customer relationships to achieve the E&C division's goals. You will manage our key accounts, lead negotiations, and set pricing and contract terms.

At AGCS, we promote the hybrid work model to provide our employees (m/f/d) with a high degree of flexibility in terms of work organization and to better accommodate their individual needs.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include

• Develop and maintain relationships with key brokers and customers as well as other relevant stakeholders (e.g., risk managers)

• Acquire new business and renew existing contracts as part of the underwriting strategy

• Negotiating prices and terms with brokers and/or customers

• Assessment and evaluation of risks submitted

• Evaluation of CatNat risks and execution of accumulation control

• Calculations with global AGCS pricing tools and segment-related portfolio control

• Maintaining the order of reinsurance

• Implementation and support of international insurance programs within the global Allianz network

• Proactive involvement of different functional areas within the defined underwriting process, (Allianz Risk Consulting, Operations, Claims, Reinsurance)

• Support the development of an underwriting strategy for the Energy & Construction division

Ihr Profil

• Several years of experience in the industrial segment of technical insurance

• Extensive knowledge of regional and international insurance markets in the technical insurance segment

• Good understanding of customer needs

• Very good knowledge of the individual lines of technical insurance and the portfolio, as well as their legal and regulatory frameworks

• Sound knowledge of contract drafting (including negotiation and implementation of insurance law formulations)

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in German and English as well as negotiation skills
