THE LANGUAGE GROUP Translation Project Manager-German Speaking in Hamburg, Germany
Full Time or Contract.
EnglishBusiness is looking for a Translation Project Manager.
This role works with our clients to identify translation/localization requirements, organizes a project plan, secures and manages vendor/linguistic resources to successfully complete and deliver the project with timeliness and accuracy.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for designated clients and projects.
- Enjoy direct client contact and enjoy service delivery as a passion.
Build, maintain and grow new and existing client base through excellent customer service , clear communication and consistent high quality service
- Project Management
- Gather all documents, instructions, requirements at start of project.
- Clearly scope and price projects
- Manage resources/vendors for each project.
- Manage project budget and timeline with various resources/vendors.
- Keep the client up-to-date on project progress through status updates, project reports.
- Perform quality checks at various stages of process to ensure quality and accuracy.
-Communicate with client on any requested changes, disseminates comments and corrections back to the production team. - Create and maintain linguistic assets in CAT tool.
- Create and maintain client information in TMS including billing and related project data.
- Support sales team with new client quoting and project scoping.
- Document all client communications in CRM.
Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum two year of translation project management experience
- Experience in direct contact with clients.
Specialized Skills - Excellent written and verbal German and English communication skills, additional languages would be an asset.
- An understanding of TMS workflow and translation memory tools. (XTRF and MEMOQ experience would be preferred).
- Highly-developed computer skills (MS Office, Windows).
- Knowledge of a variety of Desktop Publishing tools (InDesign).
- Detail orientation with the ability to multitask.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem solving, organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to negotiate rates if needed.
- A good team player while independent in carrying out assigned tasks.
