We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic leader with expertise in functional ingredients and functional foods to lead the Avesta Nordic Strategic Business Unit (SBU). This role involves managing the division's operations, driving business development and utilizing Avesthagen's cutting-edge nutrigenomics research to innovate and commercialize products that contribute to global health and wellness., Operations and R&D Management:

Lead the development and innovation of functional ingredients and foods using advanced R&D and nutrigenomics insights.

Oversee the entire production process, ensuring compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements and best practices.

Develop and optimize formulations for health and wellness applications, including fortified and functional foods.

Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to accelerate product development and commercialization.

Publish impactful research findings and contribute to research collaborations and funding proposals.
Business Development and Market Expansion:

Spearhead the commercialization of functional food products in domestic and international markets.

Build and nurture strategic partnerships with food and beverage companies, healthcare providers and nutraceutical brands.

Identify emerging market trends and consumer demands, developing strategies to address the need for functional and sustainable products.

Manage key client relationships, ensuring excellent service delivery and successful project execution.

Expand the business network and grow the client base to capture market share in India, as well as in the Rest of the World (ROW), SARC and African markets.

Drive revenue generation and ensure the timely delivery of company commitments.
Strategic Leadership and Innovation:

Formulate and implement strategic plans to meet operational and business goals for Avesta Nordic.

Identify new product opportunities and lead their development from concept to successful market entry.

Oversee multidisciplinary teams, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, timelines and quality standards.

Build a strong team and mentor future leaders.
Ihr Profil
-
Ph.D. or Master's degree in Food Science, Nutritional Science, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or a related field, ideally from a reputed institute (e.g., IIT).

An MBA or equivalent management qualification from IIM or a comparable institute is preferred.
Experience:

10+ years of experience in R&D, operations or business development within the functional ingredients or functional foods industry, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.

Proven expertise in product development, process optimization and regulatory compliance in the food, nutraceutical and functional food sectors.
