Microtrac develops leading solutions for particle characterization. Carbolite supplies high-performance laboratory ovens. Eltra enables precise elemental analysis. QATM takes care of metallographic sample preparation and hardness testing and ERWEKA is our producer of pharmaceutical testing devices.. Verder Scientific operates 13 production sites and eleven sales companies worldwide and are part of the German-Dutch technology group Verder, a group of companies with over 2000 employees around the globe. Ihre Aufgaben


We are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Manager with expertise in metallography and materials testing equipment sales. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials science/engineering combined with proven sales experience in the testing equipment industry, particularly in hardness testing systems and materialographic equipment for the cutting, grinding, and polishing sector.

  • Develop and execute sales strategies for materials testing equipment, focusing on hardness testers and materialographic preparation systems

  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers in research institutions, industrial laboratories, and quality control departments

  • Prepare and present technical proposals, demonstrations, and product presentations

  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets for the assigned territory in India

  • Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to penetrate new segments.

  • Guide customers in selecting appropriate testing solutions based on their specific requirements

  • Support customers with application-specific solutions in metallography and materials testing

  • Collaborate with global technical teams for complex customer requirements.

  • Generate and qualify new sales leads through networking and industry events

  • Coordinate with service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and support

  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports in CRM system.



Ihr Profil


  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or related field

  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in technical sales, specifically in materials testing equipment or related instrumentation

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in the Indian market

  • Strong understanding of metallography, including sample preparation techniques and analysis methods

  • Knowledge of various hardness testing methods and equipment (Rockwell, Brinell, Vickers)

  • Familiarity with materials characterization techniques and equipment

  • Understanding of quality control processes and industrial testing requirements

  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills

  • Strong technical problem-solving abilities

  • Effective presentation and communication skills

  • Proficiency in CRM systems and MS Office suite

  • Ability to travel extensively within assigned territory

  • Fluency in English and relevant regional languages
