Ihre Aufgaben
The LEIBNIZ INSTITUTE FOR APPLIED GEOPHYSICS (LIAG) is looking for you to start as soon as possible with at least 100% of the regular weekly working time for a permanent position as, LIAG uses complementary geophysical methods to investigate both structures and processes in the Earth's upper crust, combining application-oriented and basic research. In the field of reflection seismic methods (compressional waves, shear waves, and multi-component reflection seismic methods), the institute's expertise lies in the development of seismic measurement techniques and their application in the exploration of near-surface structures, especially in the research topics "geohazards", "groundwater" and "georeservoirs". Innovative approaches are integrated into acquisition, processing, and evaluation of reflection seismic data. For this field of research, LIAG has state-of-the-art technical equipment at its disposal. We pursue a coordinated scientific development of the reflection seismic method and the applied research topics. You will contribute significantly to this by developing your own ideas, the acquisition of third-party funds as well as an internal and external professional networking. LIAG offers a wide range of opportunities for personal development and the definition of one's own scientific research, a very active and inspiring scientific environment, and excellent networking in the international research community. Please enclose an outline of your research ideas (approx. one page) with your usual application documents.
