Ihre Aufgaben
This role is essential for ensuring hygienic and safe production of foodstuffs, cosmetics, and aroma molecules at the Holzminden site. It also plays a key supporting role in the global development of product safety standards, particularly in the areas of microbiology and hygiene.

Enhance food safety and quality by advising food production facilities on hygiene requirements.

Coordinate HACCP processes and activities for the Holzminden site.

Act as the Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) for the Holzminden site, ensuring compliance with FSMA requirements.

Lead the development of strategies and concepts to improve food safety.

Manage a team within the subgroup Quality Assurance Hygiene, under the broader Quality Assurance Food Safety Management group., Leadership and Coordination:

Disciplinary and functional leadership of the small Quality Assurance Hygiene team.

Collaborate with plant managers to design and implement hygienic factory layouts.
-
Develop and oversee hygiene and cleaning plans for production facilities.
-
Define hygiene monitoring processes and microbiological testing requirements (e.g., potable water from Symrise wells).
Training and Consultancy:

Conduct hygiene-related training sessions in line with LFGB, IfSG, and HACCP guidelines.

Provide consultancy to resolve hygiene-related issues, including customer complaints.

Communicate with customers, suppliers, and third-party labs on microbiological matters.
Auditing:

Perform and support internal and external audits, including those of customers, suppliers, and logistics providers.
HACCP Coordination:

Lead the HACCP team for the Holzminden site, creating and revising HACCP documentation.
PCQI Coordination:

Oversee PCQI activities to ensure FSMA compliance at the Holzminden site.
Ihr Profil

Master's or Ph.D. in Microbiology (or equivalent).

Expertise in HACCP systems and hygiene requirements.

Certified Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Fluent in both English and German (mandatory).

Experience in auditing and training related to food safety is preferred, but we are also open to motivated and committed candidates who may have less direct business experience and are eager to grow in this area.
