Ihre Aufgaben

We are looking for a skilled and forward-thinking Senior Network Expert (m/f/d) to drive the strategic direction, development and operational excellence of Symrise's global network services platform, supporting the further rollout of Group IT's Zero Trust and WAN strategy.

By managing the entire lifecycle, you will ensure that the platform meets the needs of the business, stays ahead of technological advancements, and delivers secure and reliable network services with a focus on high quality user experience. This includes responsibility for network and security technology such as Local Area Network (LAN), (Software defined) Wide Area Network ((SD-)WAN), (Cloud-) Firewalls, and DHCP/DNS.

Strategic Planning and Vision

• Define and communicate the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our IT network services, aligning with organizational goals and technological advancements

  Platform Development and Management

• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of the network services platform Manage the platform lifecycle including upgrades and decommissioning, ensuring scalability, resilience, and security

  Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with business units, IT teams, and vendors to gather requirements, prioritize features, and deliver solutions

• Serve as the primary point of contact for platform-related inquiries and communicate updates to stakeholders through regular reports, meetings, and presentations

  Performance Monitoring and Optimization

• Utilize monitoring and analytics tools to track platform performance, analyze data for trends and improvements, and optimize operations for efficiency and reliability

  Security and Compliance

• Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations

• Implement robust security measures, conduct regular audits, and manage risk assessments

Ihr Profil

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical qualification in a related field

• Proven experience in a senior network engineering or IT management role, with a minimum of 3 years managing network services platforms

• Enterprise certification at professional-level (CCNP) or higher

• Experience with network monitoring and management tools and IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks

• Demonstrated expertise in enterprise infrastructure, virtualization, assurance, security, and automation

• In-depth knowledge of network technologies, protocols, and architectures (e.g., TCP/IP, MPLS, SD-WAN, VPNs, cloud networking)

• Broad understanding of network security principles and best practices

• Familiarity with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation

• Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills at all levels of the organization

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Fluent in spoken and written English; additional German language skills a plus
