TL;DR: We are looking for a backend engineer to improve our backend node API by creating new services, extending existing services, improving performance and fault management, and expanding logging capabilities via Grafana.

Your tasks

• Conception and implementation of sustainable and efficiently operable IT architectures for online platforms using the micro-service approach.

• Ensuring communication and processing between the database and the website or application using API endpoints.

• Redesign and expansion of the backend system architecture.

• Development and implementation of procedures to improve the development process and operations.

• You will work closely with the backend development team to design, develop and maintain scalable web applications that meet the needs of the business and our customers.

• You will mentor younger developers and pass on your expertise to expand the team's skills in relation to tools and new technologies in this area.

• You play a key role in ensuring the quality of our code base by writing clean, easy to maintain, and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices and standards.

Ihr Profil

• You have at least three years of professional experience in backend development, especially in the context of complex applications developed in a team. Your expertise should relate to the mentioned technologies with a special focus on TypeScript and GraphQL.

• You have experience building REST APIs with Express and Node.js. This includes extensive knowledge in the areas of request handling, middleware implementation and effective error management.

• Knowledge of PostgreSQL including data modeling, query optimization and transactions.

• Knowledge of agile development methods and experience working in agile teams.

• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.

• You should have a passion for mentoring young developers.

• Basic knowledge of Prisma is an advantage.

• You have strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.

• You are able to work independently and in a team and collaborate effectively with other developers, product owners and stakeholders.
