What you will be doing:

• Responsible for the preparation of the dinghies for daily starts across all brands.

• Repair, service, maintain and rebuild outboard motors.

• Responsible for servicing the outboard and assigning each yacht with a serviced and completely fitted dinghy by 10:00am on the charter start date. Below is a summary of the related service to be done on each outboard:

• Change spark plugs as necessary

• Service handle and rivet assembly

• Service engine munting bracket

• Service engine starting crd. If chafed, replace

• Lubricate/grease all mving parts

• Check gear case il and fill to correct level

• Check and cnfirm exhaust water is flowing freely

• Service engine tilt lever

• Ensure that the engine is running smothly

• Pick-up dinghies from all yachts ending charter. Remove and store engine, fuel tank and oars. Return any equipment left in the dinghy that belongs to the yacht.

• Mount outboards; outboards should have a safety cable attached to dinghy. Check that engine starts properly and is cleaned and good in appearance.

• Identify and inform your supervisor of spare parts requirement. Give advance notice to allow adequate spares to be available.

• Assist in the patching of dinghies as required.

• Support the service call team when necessary.

• Clean and maintain the dinghy area at the end of each day. Pick up all litter and pack things away neatly.

• Any other reasonable duties as allocated by your line manager.

Ihr Profil

• Experience in outboard maintenance, engine rebuilding and related areas

• Ability to confidently communicate and instruct guests on the operation of an outboard and the dinghy

• Ability to lift 60 lbs. weight

• Ability to operate a 25ft - 30ft single/twin-screw power boat and exercise prudent seamanship at all times

• Operational and maintenance knowledge of departmental equipment

• Ability to identify and inform your supervisor on dinghy and outboard maintenance requirements

• Accept and carry out instructions with limited supervision

• Receptive to change

• Willingness to support the Technical manager in a range of duties

• Willingness to handle assignments with a sense of urgency so as to avoid dissatisfied guests

• A strong team player

• Must be able to swim at basic level
