Ihre Aufgaben

The Head of Community Engagement for Europe will be instrumental in developing and implementing LSbp's community and stakeholder engagement strategy for LSbp's European regions.

The local communities in which we operate are at the core of our business and we believe that meaningful and enduring relationships with these communities is the key to delivering projects and facilitating the clean energy transition. You will be instrumental in the facilitation and maintenance of these relationships.

You will form part of LSbp's Environmental and Social Planning department and will be working closely with the Marketing and Communications department and Government Relations team, in addition to collaborating with other teams such as business development, design, construction, asset management and structured finance. The role will comprise a combination of external and internal engagement to ensure alignment across the business.

You will also be part of the wider global community at Lightsource bp, with the opportunity to get involved in company level initiatives that interest you.,

• Developing an impactful and industry-leading strategy and approach to community engagement in our European markets. Including:

• Reviewing strategies and approaches in our more mature markets and identifying areas for improvement

• Working with teams in newer markets to establish strategies and approaches

• Work with the Communications team to identify and onboard potential agency partners in different markets

• Provide internal leadership in community engagement to ensure understanding and practice of community engagement continues to be embedded in the organisation.

• Be across evolving knowledge and industry trends in relation to communication and engagement.

• Research, develop and implement a range of innovative techniques to engage communities and stakeholders in project development, particularly the use of technology such as social media, online and internal engagement platforms.

• Understand and work with local country teams to implement new models of project benefit sharing.

• Communicate effectively and appropriately with diverse range of stakeholders, including members of the public, government authorities, industry bodies etc.

• Representing the company by participating in industry conferences, forums, workshops and meetings, involving various third parties including other developers, suppliers, network service providers, regulators and Government authorities.

• Developing strong relationships with internal team members across multiple LSbp regions and departments, including working with our digitization team on options for stakeholder management databases.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the community and stakeholder engagement requirements and processes across European region

• Familiarity with regional requirements for project benefit sharing

• Experience & Education

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, and an ability to build relationships and trust with a wide variety of stakeholders.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Commercial acumen and entrepreneurial values.

• Excellent project management skills including the ability to manage complex project issues, managing time, setting priorities and organising the complex logistics of engagement activities and outputs

• Solid understanding of both the underlying principles and practices of community engagement including being able to communicate the importance of community engagement in project delivery

• Knowledge of community engagement strategies across Europe

• Demonstrated record of delivering successful community activities and outputs at a range of scales, including adapting to challenges and managing sensitive projects.

• Experience in ground mount solar PV, wind and/or other renewable energy/infrastructure projects.

• Fluent English essential. Other language proficiency in either Spanish or Italian is favourable.
