Game Programmer

ByteRockers' Games is a developer studio from Berlin, Germany, founded in 2008. In 2021, we not only achieved our greatest success with our title Insurmountable, but were also able to form profitable partnerships. We independently develop diversified games for all major platforms, for example PC, PlayStation and Nintendo SWITCH. Our strength lies in the independent, joint development of unique indie games. We are currently working on three titles in a total of three teams. One title has already received government funding, and another is just waiting. So we are ready for all outrages together with you.

Ihre Aufgaben

As a member of one of our teams called "RockIt", you will be a key player in programming and will work on a brand new project. Creativity and teamwork are very important to us, which is why every team member can contribute to development, game design and the overall process at any time. We work with flat hierarchies and in iterative processes to achieve the best possible result while having fun at work. Your special skills in programming, make you a real core member from the beginning. You will be programming the latest project of team "RockIt" in Unity. You will support the artists and game designers with asset installation. You work out workflows and pipelines for the asset production and help with your basic knowledge in creating shaders and VFX You work in an Agile environment (Scrum) with Jira and help to co-design and organize the programmers You optimize the performance of the project, Our spacious, modern office is centrally located in Berlin-Steglitz, directly at the underground station Schloßstraße. Ihr Profil

• A degree in computer science or equivalent

• You have at least 3 years of work experience in the games industry

• You have ported to Playstation/Nintendo/X-Box

• Performance optimization is your thing, as well as general system architecture

• Your analytical skills are excellent

• Game-feel is not just a nice word for you

• You like to work with people and have a high standard for the quality of your work

• You are open-minded and curious about new work processes

• You are fluent in written and spoken English (company language is German)
