Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit The Center for Youth, Family, and Community Partnerships (CYFCP) builds the capacity of families, service providers, researchers, teachers, and communities to promote the well-being of children and youth. In partnership with colleagues from across the university and the community, the center carries out basic, applied, and action research; translates research into effective programs and practice; infuses community perspectives into university research and teaching; facilitates strategic problem-solving processes; and promotes programs, practices, and policies that yield positive outcomes for children and their families., The Family and Youth Support and Education Program Manager will provide leadership, administration, and management. This includes hiring, training, and supervising Program staff, submitting monthly tracking reports, and preparing and submitting other requested program documentation to the State funding agency. The Program Manager also will represent the Program at various State-level meetings, as well as project planning meetings among the CYFCP Leadership and the DMHDDSAS contract administrators., Key Responsibility Program Management Essential Tasks

Supervises Family and Youth Support and Education Program staff. The initial staffing of the Program will involve 4 additional team members and more positions may be added in the future as the Program evolves.

Works with the UNCG Principal Investigator on the Scope of Work deliverables for the Family and Youth Support and Education Program contract with the State.

Provides leadership to UNCG's internal work plan and to developing and implementing a Program-specific strategic plan.

Provides organizational oversight of the Family and Youth Support and Education Program, including coordinating team meetings, supporting the development of quarterly and annual reports, and budget management.

Supports other Program staff in carrying out the Program's core activities, including System of Care Collaboration and Coordination, Outreach, and Training, Credentialing, and Technical Assistance.

Submits monthly tracking reports to the State to document the work of the Family and Youth Advocacy Program.

Coordinates the activity tracking and reporting with other Program staff, the Evaluation Team, the UNCG PI, and the State contract administrators.

Represents the Family and Youth Support and Education Program at meetings with the State Contract administrators.

Represents the Family and Youth Support and Education Program at other relevant statewide meetings, as well as local meetings across the state. This includes meetings of the System of Care Collaboratives.

This position requires that the employee has relevant lived experiences related to personal and/or caregiving/family experience with a Serious Emotional Disturbance for at least 12 months.

This position required that employees have experience working in some form of paid or unpaid Youth/Family Peer Specialist, Navigator, Partner, or other similar roles.

Educational qualifications for the Program Manager position include a bachelor's degree plus at least three years of experience in work related to Youth and/or Family Peer Support and/or Education

Applicants should be able to demonstrate experience with skills in the following areas: written and verbal communication skills, organization, and budget management.,

Master's degree preferred.

Preference will be given to applicants who are certified or eligible to be certified as a Certified Family Peer SpecialistTM.

Preference also will be given to candidates who have experience working in a leadership role related to Youth and/or Family Peer Support and/or Education.

Another preferred qualification is experience in writing and/or managing grant-funded projects.
