• Developing a high quality research programme

• Assisting in curriculum development and participating in Departmental and Faculty activities

• Supporting Departmental administration and extra-curricular activities

Ihr Profil

The successful candidate must possess a PhD from a recognized university, which should be in Computer Science or a closely related field.

Candidates should also possess:

• At least two years' experience in teaching general areas of an undergraduate curriculum in

• Computer Science

• A good record of research and publications in reputable, peer-reviewed journals

• Proficiency in at least three of the following areas:

  o Theory of Computing o Designs of Algorithms o Discrete Mathematics o Intelligent Systems o Operation Research and Optimization o Modelling and Simulation

  Candidates with demonstrable knowledge in the following would have an advantage:

• Mathematical background in Statistics

• Machine Learning

• Big Data Analytics

  The following would be considered assets:

• Certification in university teaching and learning

• Experience in curriculum development

• An independent research agenda

• Experience in successful supervision of postgraduate research

• Postgraduate teaching experience

• Competence in the following: Information Retrieval, Computational Modeling, Natural Language Processing

• Evidence of successful grant applications

  Special Responsibilities

• Teaching undergraduate courses in the Computer Science and Information Technology programmes

• Teaching postgraduate courses in Computer Science, The Campus places high priority on individuals of integrity who can work well in a team and student friendly environment.
