In order to strengthen our team we are looking for a DevOps Engineer at the soonest possible date.

Your tasks:

• Testing
• Continuous improvement of code and infrastructure through versioning and shared management
• Documentation
• Presentation

The key task is the setup, development and management of the CI/CD pipeline, in the company's technical environment and by order of the customer.

Here various approaches in connection with the available resources or limitations can be pursued.

The achieved changes must be clearly documented and, if necessary, presented to stakeholders with varyinglevels of relevant knowledge.

Having a clear overview of company processes in relation to protocol and log extracts is a fundamental part of the job, as is the identification of problems and their causes on request by colleagues and customers.

This will usually be needed in several projects simultaneously and requires a realistic assessment of one's own "bandwidth", strong time management skills, as well as a certain flexibility in relation to work location and colleagues.

Your qualifications

Education:

Degree in informatics or similar (business informatics, mathematics or IT specialist)

Know How:

• Use of version management: Git, RTC
• You write well-structured, comprehensibly documented and maintainable code
• You have a high degree of quality awareness and self-responsibility
• Good knowledge in handling development environments: Jetbrains IntelliJ, Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio 2014/2017/2019
• Use and management of CI/CD tool: Jenkins, GitLab
• Application of Build frameworks: Maven, Gradle
• Application of Test frameworks: JUnit, NUnit, Zephyr, TestComplete, Selenium
• Knowledge in container technologies: Docker
• Knowledge in orchestration and provisioning tools: Docker-compose, Kubernetes
• Knowledge and joy in CodeReview and log-based error analyses
• Proactive analysis and improvement of given processes
• You are conscientious and determined, you work autonomously and are open to further training
• Good knowledge of German and English

Knowledge of programming languages:

• Very good knowledge of a C# or Java-based language
• Java
• Groovy
• Javascript
• Batch scripting
• PowerShell scripting

Additionally, you bring along:

• Responsibility and the ability to look outside the box
• Strong capacity for teamwork, own initiative, motivation, objective and result orientation
• Independent assessment of scopes of tasks
• Professional conduct in dealing with colleagues and customers
• Initiative in communicating with colleagues (exchange of knowledge and consultations)
