Ihre Aufgaben

Keelvar is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with experience in API design and development to join one of our cross-functional development teams. This role is remotely based in either Ireland, Germany, the UK or the US.

Keelvar is a company on a mission to help procurement teams globally to scale sourcing excellence. Keelvar is powered by unique artificial intelligence, designed by our category experts, to deliver significant savings and operational improvements for global enterprises.

You will be joining a critical group responsible for our core platform. The team is a cross functional group including software engineers, data scientists, QA and product designers.

There is no question that optimization and automation will continue to transform procurement and the software industry in general. This is a great opportunity to be involved in these next-generation products.

Responsibilities

• Work in a cross functional development team designing & developing API led solutions.

• Develop top quality software and features with scalability, maintenance, security and reliability in mind.

• Write unit tests and otherwise ensure the quality of your code. Review colleague's code and designs. Investigate and problem solve issues.

• Collaborate with your team and the wider engineering group to deploy code to production and monitor the areas of the system you work in.

• Collaborate closely with the Product team on new features and workflows.

• Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to ensure our vision is delivered.

• Assist and mentor junior team members.

• Contribute to the ongoing success of this fast-paced, rapidly growing and evolving organisation.

• Understand and deliver on our customer's needs and goals.

Ihr Profil

• Strong proficiency and at least 5 years of experience in software development ideally developing SaaS solutions.

• Experience of working with CI/CD processes and in an agile, product led environment.

• Experience designing distributed services which can communicate in a fault-tolerant manner using both RESTful and message-driven APIs.

• 4+ years of development experience with Python. .

• Build domain knowledge and help to drive architecture improvements by collaborating with Principle/Staff Engineers.

• You enjoy writing clean and testable code and are familiar with common software design patterns.

• You have experience of changing and improving established processes. You like to challenge norms.

• You are self motivated and driven to achieve; you enjoy setting yourself goals and exceeding them.

• You are a deep thinker, you like to innovate, you like to solve problems creatively and quickly, and are passionate about technology and people.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

• You thrive in an environment of mutual respect, openness and collaboration. You enjoy getting things done at a quick pace.

• You have a sense of ownership, you enjoy taking initiative and leading projects through to completion.

• Strong knowledge of HTTP, JSON and API design patterns.

  Nice to Have

• Previous experience in building, deploying and maintaining public facing APIs.

• Experience and Knowledge in Managing API version evolution. .

• Experience with an API Gateway in either Azure, AWS or Google Cloud is advantageous.

• Experience of working in a full-stack role is advantageous.

• Previous experience or exposure to EDA (Event Driven Architecture).
