Lab Automation Engineer / Facility Head

Ihre Aufgaben

• Lead the INM Accelerated Research Facility, oversee the automated systems, including solid and liquid handling robots and analytical instruments.

• Collaborate closely with INM research groups and support workflow automation and streamlining of laboratory processes.

• Advice and train INM researchers about statistical experimental design.

• Validate automated workflows to guarantee accuracy and reproducibility.

• Design and implement data handling and analysis workflows integrating statistical analysis and artificial intelligence.

• Foster external / industrial opportunities for joint lab automation projects.

• Stay updated and implement emerging automation technologies, research trends, and best practices in the facility. What we offer

Ihr Profil

• Master's degree in engineering or automation. Alternatively, PhD in materials sciences, chemistry, or biology with strong experience in lab automation.

• Experience in leading projects related to workflow automation including statistical experimental design.

• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, C++).

• Hands-on experience with solid and liquid handling systems.

• Experience in statistical data analysis.

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects with internal and external partners.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
