Ihre Aufgaben
The expansion of renewable energies will be of outstanding importance in the coming years. To ensure that this transformation to climate neutrality succeeds and that the technological lead is maintained, research and development are faced with major challenges. To this end, BAM has combined research into the safety of wind turbines in the Wind@BAM Competence Centre.
The focus of the competence centre is on mechanically stressed components such as rotor blades, support structures and foundations. With a unique infrastructure for large component testing and modern digital analysis methods, investigations can be carried out on wind turbine components for strength, fatigue and durability. Current focal points are new support structure concepts as well as service life extension and repowering of existing turbines.
The scope of the position includes scientific activities in the Wind@BAM competence centre with a focus on the investigation of support structures and especially the fatigue strength of components.
Specific tasks include:
-
Initiation, application, management and processing of research projects in the field of optimised support structures and innovative materials
-
Further development of cross-material competences in the field of fatigue strength
-
Interdisciplinary cooperation with the areas of corrosion/corrosion protection and welding technology and development of concepts for combining processes with fatigue strength
-
Application and testing of measurement and analysis methods together with experts in the field of non-destructive testing
-
Scientific publication and lecture activities
-
Updating the research agenda and strategic development of the Technical Centre
-
