The Communication Department at Purchase College-SUNY is seeking a tenure-track assistant professor in Strategic Communication to teach a range of communication courses, including Strategic Message Design, Introduction to Media Writing, Public Speaking and additional classes in their area of expertise. There is opportunity to develop curriculum and create new courses. Academic advising and committee work are also expectations of the position. The successful candidate will join a growing communication program with concentrations in television production and strategic communication., Teaching responsibilities include six courses a year, ranging from beginning to advanced classes in our undergraduate program. In one of these courses, you will work with a small group of students on their senior capstones, a semester long project of the students' choosing. Preferred candidates will have a PhD and a record of successful teaching experience.,

Ihr Profil

• A PhD in Communication or related field (ABD considered).

• Demonstrated teaching excellence at the college level.

  Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching students from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.

• Professional experience in strategic communucations.

• Experience developing curriculum.

• Demonstrated ability to conduct scholarly research and engage with the Communication discipline.

• Administrative experience.
