Systems & Project Engineer

Konrad Technologies design, develop and integrate test & automation solutions from R&D through to volume manufacturing across automotive, medical, aerospace and defence, consumer electronics, semiconductors and industrial automation industries.

Within automotive we are a global leader in testing of Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) sensors and systems, delivering autonomous driving safety for connected and autonomous vehicles (CAV). Combining virtual drive testing and hardware-in-the-loop techniques, we are at the forefront of test and measurement of sensor technology.

In manufacturing we provide turn-key production lines for radar, LiDAR, ultrasonic and vision cameras, integrating all automation processes (assembly, plasma, gluing, alignment, thermal, leakage etc).

Ihre Aufgaben

• Assist with customerrequirements capture and develop new or modified test system specifications

• Work to budget andinput to customer proposals

• Evaluate new systems,technologies and architectures

• Maintain andprioritise open issues and drive solutions forward

• Understand performancetesting and quality improvement

• Work with customerson-site and travel internationally

• Be a technical leadwith customers and communicate concepts clearly internally

• Manage stakeholderexpectations and project progression

Ihr Profil

We invite engineers with at least 5 years relevantexperience to apply provided requirements below are met:

• A good degree in arelevant subject (e.g. Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics,Physics)

• At least 5 years experienceworking in the development of ATEs

• Tangible achievements inlarge projects and experience in major industries such as aerospace anddefence, space, medical or semiconductor.

• Experience withcomputer controlled automated test equipment

• Understanding of testintegration, automation and product test validation requirements across the testlifecycle

• Experience in acustomer facing role (e.g. field application engineering)

• Good analytical and problemsolving abilities

• A highly motivated,self-starter with the ability to work under pressure

• Able to learn quicklyand integrate successfully into teams

• Project manage asnecessary

• Good verbal andwritten communication skills,

• Practical development experience in a variety of programming languages (e.g. C/C++, C#, LabVIEW)

• Experience with National Instruments (NI) software such as TestStand and LabVIEW

• Experience with National Instruments (NI) hardware platforms such as PXI, cDAQ or cRIO

• Demonstrable business acumen when costing solutions and evaluating risks

• Wide breadth of understanding within test and measurement science and ATE deployment in manufacturing

• Understanding of test standardisation strategies within large organisations

• An understanding of design for test, test lifecycle evolution, PCBA ICT, FCT and RF basics.

• Knowledge of robotics,PLC or mechatronic systems, and appreciation of common automation processes athigh volume would be advantageous

• Experience in optical test and opticalmanufacturing

• Driving license
