POSITION SUMMARY:

The Material Requirements Planner position is responsible for ensuring that all materials arrive at the Whitehall facilities just prior to the manufacturing schedule. This role will also collaborate with various departments to ensure inventory accuracy is maintained in all facilities as well as all outside warehouses.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Meet with production scheduling on a weekly basis and review the following week's schedule upon completion for all OINA facilities.
  • Attend the weekly Sales & Op meetings and serve as an advisor with respect to material availability issues or other supply chain risks and/or challenges.
  • Determine future materials needs by reviewing the open orders and sales forecasts, particularly as it relates to uncommon or long lead time items.
  • Monitor formula or ingredient changes which are directed by R & D. Coordinate with Procurement accordingly in terms of the sourcing and production timing in order to avoid any interruptions to the plants or our customers.
  • Following review of the weekly and daily production schedules in the plants, coordinate the necessary supporting transfer of materials from outside warehouses, suppliers, sub-contractors, or inter-plant transfers from Ornua plant warehouses.
  • Monitor the inventory levels in the facilities in order to determine the appropriate arrival time of additional materials and notify the plant warehouse management of all material movements.
  • Where OINA has determined that finished goods will be stored off-site in a particular plant, provide directions regarding the specific customer transfers and timing of these skews to maximize space while proving the lowest cost solutions.
  • Monitor out-going customer shipments with respect to outside warehouses as well as FG inventory accuracy.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field or equivalent work experience.

  • Constantly operates a computer, phone, and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy

machine, computer printer, etc.

  • Climb stairs/ladders
  • Communicate verbally with employees and customers.
  • Vision requirements include reading computer screens, identifying colors, anticipating employees and visitors.
  • Ability to lift and carry office related items up 25 pounds as needed in the office (supplies)
  • Works in general office conditions regularly
  • May be exposed to general manufacturing operations requiring personal protective equipment such as uniform, bump cap, safety glasses and hearing protection.
