Ihre Aufgaben


Grant Administrator and Financial Services Coordinator, The Grant Administrator and Financial Services Coordinator is responsible for grant application preparation and review as well as post-award administration including financial administrative support while maintain Loyola's and sponsor's policies, procedures, and compliance for all grants within the Parkinson School of Health Sciences and Public Health. This person will also be responsible for other financial services for the departments and programs within Parkinson. The Grant Administrator reports to the Director of Administration and supports faculty/staff/students across all Parkinson campuses and sites., Pre-Award

  • Oversees preparation and submission of all grant proposals in the Parkinson School of Health Sciences and Public Health.

  • Interacts with principal investigators, assisting them with development, preparation, and submission of proposals for external and internal funding to various funding agencies.

  • Reviews all proposal elements for accuracy and advising the faculty on any administrative requirements.

  • Enters all budgetary, grant application information, and contracts into Loyola's Research Portal

  • Obtains institutional endorsement on all grant applications.

  • Prepares files in proper format for electronic submission.

  • Copies, collates, and mails application to appropriate agencies for review if necessary.

  • Keeps updated on all new federal and state regulations that apply to the grant process; interprets agency-specific guidelines/regulations that apply to the proposal and award process.,

  • Oversees the disbursement, financial reporting, and use of all intramural and extramural funds associated with accounting units established in the Parkinson School of Health Sciences and Public Health.

  • Prepares budget breakdown and distribution of funds in the post-award section of Loyola's Research Portal.

  • Initiates and monitors subcontract agreements for collaborations with other Institutions.

  • Initiates all budget transfers, expense transfers, and salary transfers in accordance with institutional policies and 0MB Circular guidelines.

  • Prepares and submits additional reports for all non-competitive (progress reports) and competitive renewal applications.

  • Prepares and approves check requisitions, travel expense reports, and purchase requisitions for grant-related expenses.

  • Monitors and approves grant expenditures in the Business Intelligence system on a monthly basis.

  • Provides Principal Investigators with monthly projection reports.

  • Enters grant purchase orders using Lawson program or uses the University pro-card for appropriate purchases.

  • Process capital budget requests.

  • Assists with quarterly effort reporting.

  • Follows and upholds all federal (NIH, NSF, etc.) and non-federal grant policies and procedures.

  • Provides Dean with summary reports.

    Financial Coordination

  • Performs financial analyses for report preparation, to improve department and grant accounting procedures.

  • Prepares financial reports to document activity, substantiate transactions, report findings, etc.

  • Requests payroll changes pertinent to department grants and other accounts.

  • Maintains department's financial records, budget information, and other forms of data. Tracks payments, receipts, transactions, internal and external contracts, agreements, etc.

  • Produces statements of financial activity based upon monthly grant transactions and generates projects to share with PI.

  • Performs financial analyses for department and programs for accreditation needs.

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and two to four years of related experience in grant and contract administration. (An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.)

  • Strong verbal and written communication, organizational and analytical skills required.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work well with a variety of constituents.

  • Candidates should possess advanced computer skills, and have the ability to quickly master specialized software applications.

  • Strong financial and excel skills are necessary.

  • Advanced in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint) and Adobe Acrobat and experience with higher education learning management systems.

  • Knowledge, understanding, and commitment to the mission and values of Loyola University Chicago and the Parkinson School of Health Sciences and Public Health
