LG Chem has been operating the Customer Solution (CS) Campus for 27 years, having first established a center in Daejeon, South Korea in 1995. LG Chem plans to further expand its CS centers, previously operated in Korea and China, in Europe and the US to ensure that it can provide high-quality services specifically tailored to customer needs in each region. The opening of the CS Center Europe in Frankfurt, which will operate its own pilots and laboratories, is planned for May 2023. CS activities include introducing relevant products and solutions at LG Chem for customers, managing technical qualification of a product for customers, and after-sales service including technical solution support for customer complaints and claims. In addition, CS teams are developing a new application of existing products, a new project for new product developments, advanced simulation for injection molded parts, suitable manufacturing processes and smart analysis tools.

Ihre Aufgaben

• Analysis, solution and technical support for customers as well as provision of processing conditions

• Give customer visits and presentation of our products as well as recommendations

• Support in product development for the customer as well as support in solving the problematic problem posed by the customer

• Analysis of the market and specification development for customers

• Solution-oriented complaint management

• Market research to develop new projects

• Creation of reports and documentations

• Organization of training courses as well as training for our customers

• Planning products properties tests and organizing internal or external test laboratory

• Preparation of samples for analytical measurements with various analysis techniques (e.g. IR, DSC, TGA, HPLC, GC, UTM, SEM, XRF)

• Preparation and management of consumables (solvent, gas, gloves, etc.) for the experiments

• Responsible processing of customer requests in the laboratory

• Operation of laboratory equipment, data evaluation and data backup

• Maintenance of laboratory equipment for use at all time

• Documentation of test results

• Participation in the optimization and improvement of workflows in the laboratory

• Probenvorbereitung und Durchführung von analytischen Messungen mit diversen Analysetechniken (z.B. IR, DSC, TGA, HPLC, GC, UTM, SEM, XRF)

• Organisation und Abwicklung der Bestellung von Verbrauchsmaterialien (z.B. Handschuhe, Lösungsmittel, Gasvorrat)

• Eigenverantwortliche Abwicklung von Prüfaufträgen im Labor

• Bedienung von Analysegeräten, Datenauswertung und Datensicherung

• Instandhaltung von Analysegeräten und Sicherstellung eines reibungslosen Analyseablaufs

• Dokumentation von Prüfergebnissen

• Mitarbeit an der Optimierung und Verbesserung von Arbeitsabläufen im Labor

• Teilnahme an globalen, multidisziplinären Projektmeetings,

• Erfolgreich abgeschlossene Ausbildung als Chemielaborant/in, Chemisch-Technische/r Assistent/in, Werkstoffprüfer/in oder abgeschlossenes Bachelorstudium im naturwissenschaftlichen Bereich z.B. Materialwissenschaften, Chemie

• Praktische und theoretische Kenntnisse in organischer und makromolekularer Chemie und Analytik

• Spaß an Technik sowie handwerkliches Geschick, Engagement und Kreativität

• Teamfähigkeit und eine strukturierte Arbeitsweise sowie eine hohe Zuverlässigkeit

• Gute MS-Office Kenntnisse sowie Englisch und Deutsch fließend in Wort und Schrift

• Checking the connected line (Air, Electricity, Water) for injection molding experiment

• Execution of injection molding experiment for various material (e.g. ABS, PO, EP)

• Responsible processing of test requests in the laboratory

• Operation of injection molding machine & data evaluation and data backup

• Maintenance of injection molding machine for use at all time

• Documentation of test results in German and English

• Participation in the optimization and improvement of workflows in the laboratory

• Participation in global, multidisciplinary project meetings

Ihr Profil

• Successfully completed studies with a focus on chemistry, engineering or a comparable qualification

• At least 3 years of professional experience at a plastics manufacturer (ABS, polymerization or compounding), in the injection or processing of thermoplastics or in the research and development of polymers

• Confident handling of common MS Office programs

• Business fluent English and German language skills, spoken and written

• Confident handling of all hierarchies, customers and suppliers

• Structured, responsible, independent and proactive way of working

• Distinct analysis and teamwork skills, customer, service and solution-oriented appearance

• Structured, independent and self-reliant way of working

• Excellent assertiveness and problem solving

• Willingness to travel 50 % within the European Union and a class B driving license,

• Successfully completed training as a chemical laboratory assistant, chemical-technical assistant (CTA) or completed bachelor's degree in natural sciences, e.g. materials science, chemistry

• Practical and theoretical knowledge in organic and macromolecular chemistry and analytics

• Affinity for technology as well as commitment and creativity

• Ability to work in a team as a communicative and engaging personality who carries out their tasks with great care, enthusiasm and vision

• Good MS Office skills as well as written and spoken English and German in a professional way,

• Successfully completed training as an injection molding assistant or Polymer processing (Ausbildung Kunststofftechnik or comparable)

• Working experience at injection molding company or Mold maker will treat preferentially

• Practical and theoretical knowledge in injection molding process & Mold design

• Enjoyment of technology as well as commitment and creativity

• Ability to work in a team as a communicative and engaging personality who carries out their tasks with great commitment, enthusiasm and vision

• Good MS Office skills as well as written and spoken English and German
