Duties and Responsibilities
Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine Department of Surgery is seeking an Independent Contractor for General Surgery to join its team to assist with call coverage.
The candidate will have successfully completed an accredited General Surgery program and will be Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Surgery and should be at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
Gottlieb Memorial Hospital is a 247-licensed-bed community hospital in Melrose Park, Illinois that includes the newly renovated Judd A. Weinberg Emergency Department, the Loyola Center for Metabolic Surgery and Bariatric Care, and the Loyola Cancer Care & Research facility at the Marjorie G. Weinberg Cancer Center. Conveniently located just west of Chicago, Gottlieb attracts specialists and primary care doctors from throughout the Chicago area and offers leading-edge treatments, advanced diagnostic testing, patient-centered medical care and complete follow-up services. Gottlieb is part of Loyola Medicine, a three-hospital system that includes Loyola University Medical Center, GMH and MacNeal Hospital, as well as convenient locations offering primary care, specialty care and immediate care services from more than 1,800 physicians throughout Cook, Will and DuPage counties. The Hines VA Hospital 483 bed Veteran's Affairs Hospital that sits on 170 acres adjacent to the Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. This facility, faculty, and staff are dedicated to the high quality comprehensive care of our nation's veterans. This position also belongs to a team of general surgeons that care for veterans collaboratively.
