What You'll do (the role)

Ihre Aufgaben

This role will play a key role in developing the regional market strategy, identifying market opportunities and creative business models for energy storage, other flexible and new technologies. Collaborating with the regional power marketing and development organization in support of commercial goals and objectives including pipeline development, revenue contracting, partnerships and key stakeholder management.

• Identifying and developing market opportunities for battery energy storage systems (BESS) co-located with solar PV or standalone.

• Understand developments in the European markets and energy policy and he impact these will have on power markets and flexibility opportunities including storage in order to keep Lightsource BP at the forefront of the market.

• Identifying and responding to other flexibility opportunities across European markets for all relevant asset classes.

• Work with suppliers and other market participants to develop strategic partnership and innovative routes to market to secure bankable revenue and optimization agreements to support stand-alone and collocated solar plus storage project development.

• Liaise with structured finance and development to create optimisation & power marketing offtake solutions that optimize funding opportunities.

• Work with legal department, structured finance and other internal stakeholders to negotiate agreements.

• Oversight of analyst function to support BESS revenue optimization activity.

• Take responsible working with the wider teams for developing and implementation of our route to market strategy for stand-alone BESS and collocated solar pv and storage.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, such as technical storage, finance, engineering and construction across the broader organization to manage opportunities strategically

• Ability to lead on the relevant inputs for a techno-economical hybrid model to identify the optimal business case.

Ihr Profil

• Comprehensive knowledge of the European Power and Ancillary Services markets is a must along with utility scale energy storage experience and a working knowledge of renewables projects

• Understanding of how to stack varying revenue opportunities for collocated or standalone storage in order to optimize value

• Successful track record of executing complex energy projects and/or transactions.

• Strong project and process management skills with experience managing multiple teams on simultaneous projects.

• Good interpersonal, leadership and collaboration skills.

• Relevant experience of industry Business Development, with strong external and executive level engagement/stakeholder management. Why you'll make a great member of the team,
