**RWD Adoption Lead (f/m/d) - epidemiology / RWD / electronic health records / healthcare / real world

Project:
For our customer a big pharmaceutical company in Basel we are looking for a highly qualified RWD Adoption Lead

Background:
As a Real-World Data (RWD) Adoption Lead in Roche Diagnostics (Dia), you will play a pivotal role in advancing Dia's utilization of RWD, unlocking its potential for data-driven decision-making. You will be responsible for designing and implementing strategies to maximize the use of RWD across Dia, fostering a culture that embraces and leverages the power of data. As an experienced RWD practitioner, you will be contributing to three desired long-term outcomes:

  • internal stakeholders have access to FAIR, fit-for-purpose data when they need it;
  • RWD activities and studies are easy and simple to plan, and are conducted in an efficient, compliant, high-quality, and reproducible manner; and
  • infrastructure, processes and procedures related to RWD are understood and incorporated across all product life cycles.
  • Working in a team of three and reporting to the Head of RWD, you will work closely with your peers, the Diagnostics Data Office, key stakeholders across the Dia organization and other RWD teams within Roche.

    The perfect candidate:
    has a degree in epidemiology or pharmacoepidemiology and at least 2 years of professional working experience. This experience should be within the pharmaceutical industry or a related healthcare field, and focus on RWD. A scientific background with a strong understanding of study design and implementation is a must.

    Tasks & Responsibilities:**

    -Collaborate with key stakeholders to co-create and implement contracting and internal study processes, ensuring high quality, compliant, and efficient execution of RWD activities in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements where applicable.

    • Support management and reporting of RWD studies and activities through tracking of project statuses and relevant materials (e.g., executive summaries, posters/publications, etc.)
    • Develop and deploy comprehensive RWD training content, empowering employees with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively utilize and interpret RWD.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with external stakeholders such as data and service providers, to access fit-for-purpose RWD, and stay up-to-date with industry advancements.
    • Collaborate with other RWD teams to share and develop tools, processes, and best practices.
    • Support the team with any other related, ad-hoc activities that may arise.)

    Must Haves:

    -Have a current, valid permit to work in Switzerland and be based in Switzerland.
    *Masters degree or higher in a relevant field, such as epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology, biostatistics, health economics or a related discipline.

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a related healthcare field, with a focus on RWD.
    • In-depth knowledge of real-world data sources, such as electronic health records, claims databases, registries, and patient-reported outcomes.
    • Study design and some scientific knowledge experience is a must.
    • Proven track record of driving successful implementation of RWD initiatives and delivering measurable business impact.
    • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the RWD environment, including data quality considerations and emerging market trends.
    • Demonstrate practical experience in RWD operations, having actively participated as a user or contributor in the acquisition, integration, analysis, or interpretation of RWD.
    • Exhibit a strong grasp of data privacy regulations, governance frameworks, and policies related to the use of healthcare data.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
    • Proven ability to operate effectively in a global, matrixed, cross-functional environment.
    • Strong communication skills and proficiency in English is a must.
