Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
CNNC advances the capacity of immigrants and refugees by building bridges between immigrant populations and existing communities throughout NC via community-based outreach and advocacy, educational programming, research and evaluation, immigrant and refugee leadership development, cultural brokering, and educational opportunities for faculty and students.
Position Summary
The Center for New North Carolinians (CNNC) is committed to advancing the capacity of immigrants and refugees by building bridges between immigrant populations and existing communities throughout the state of North Carolina. This is done via community-based outreach and advocacy, educational programming, research and evaluation, immigrant and refugee leadership development, cultural brokering, and educational opportunities for faculty and students. This position will manage grants and provide research and input to meet the goals of assisting immigrants and refugee populations through community-based outreach, advocacy, and programming.
Minimum Qualifications
- This position requires a Master's degree in Social Sciences or Global Studies, or BS with two years of experience, in a Human Services discipline with coursework related to the area for assignment.
- Candidates must have professional experience in working with immigrant populations and demonstrated experience of leadership skills necessary to manage and supervise AmeriCorps members, program staff, interns, and volunteers as well as a culturally diverse environment.
- Candidates must be fluent in English and Spanish (written and oral).

Essential Tasks
- This position will assist the primary program coordinator for the Thriving at Three (TAT) program to coordinate and execute grants that provide program activities in the areas of parenting, child, and educational development support to Hispanic parents with children under the age of 5.

- This position will assist with the completion of ASQs as outlined in the grant, coordinate and attend home visits to meet grant deliverables and assist with program enrollment and oversight.
