Ihre Aufgaben

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated full-time Remote Software Developer in Test to join our dynamic Quality Engineering team within the PostgreSQL ecosystem. As an SDET, you will be an integral part of ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Your expertise will drive the enhancement and optimization of our automation testing frameworks, enabling efficient defect analysis and reporting. Additionally, you will play a key role in crafting and implementing new test cases, contributing to the streamlining and automating of our software delivery processes.

What you will do

• Analyze and report defects identified through our automation testing frameworks.

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases to validate software functionality and performance.

• Collaborate closely with the development team to optimize and scale test activities.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement and automation of software development processes.

• Perform quarterly release testing and verification of packages using existing automated established processes

Ihr Profil

• Strong technical background and a passion for ensuring product quality.

• Ability to setup/automate postgresql server and related tools/application/components for reproduction of bugs or test scenarios.

• Hands-on experience in testing ecosystem of vanilla postgresql: pg_regress, builtin testsuites, tap testing for advanced setups.

• Proficiency in defining and executing automated test cases using industry-standard testing frameworks.

• Experience with Ansible for automating application deployment and configuration management.

• Familiarity with Jenkins for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.

• Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems for testing and development purposes.

• Experience in bash, python, pytest, or testinfra for automated testing.

  What Will Make You Stand Out:

• Active participation in open-source projects related to testing or the PostgreSQL ecosystem.

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with GitHub Actions for automating the application deployment and testing.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Familiarity with performance testing and security testing techniques.

• Experience with compiling, building, and packaging software applications.
