Performance Engineer

Ihre Aufgaben

As a Performance Engineer, you are the central contact person on the topic of performance and ensure that our software suite Adcubum Syrius meets the high requirements. Through proactive tests and measurements, you support our product development to find potential performance issues in advance, before our software is delivered. If problems do occur during operation, you will be on the front line helping to solve them. In our Journey to the Cloud, you are the specialist who helps to make our software available to our customers in the new cloud operating model in a performant and reliable way.

Your tasks

• Contribute to the expansion of the company-wide load and performance testing infrastructure, which includes both infrastructure and further expansion of dashboard and reports

• Collaboration in the definition of quality gates

• Development of reference scenarios for load & performance tests

• Support of product development in all load & performance topics

• Proactive participation in Load & Performance relevant development topics

• Introduction and continuous development of test tools for efficient load & performance testing of our applications

• Cross-release collection of load & performance metrics and their visualization

• Development and implementation of development and operational support tools for the Adcubum product suite, especially in the cloud

Ihr Profil

• Degree in computer science and/or several years of professional experience in IT

• Proven experience in performance analysis and optimization of large software systems

• Excellent knowledge of Java, Java EE, application servers, SpringBoot, relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL)

• Experience in cloud environments (Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS etc.)

• Experience with observability in the cloud

• Knowledge of an APM tool (e.g.) Dynatrace is a plus

• Experience with open source log analytics (e.g. ELK).

• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the area of Load & Performance Testing

• Excellent analytical skills

• Pragmatic problem solver mentality

• Very good German and English skills
