Ihre Aufgaben
Under the guidance of Director, Member Services (D/MS), and the direct supervision of the Director, Resource Mobilization and Development Partnerships (D/RMDP), the incumbent will perform the following duties:
(a) Serve as the focal point for systematic and strategic bilateral donor and multilateral fund engagement by regularly liaising with relevant working-level donor and fund focal points, advising on strategic and timely management outreach to donor and fund management counterparts, and helping to improve collaboration and communication between internal (including secretariat departments and regional offices) and external stakeholders for mobilizing extra-budgetary resources;
(b) Develop and update concise donor and fund profiles and participate in donor meetings in order to analyse donor and fund priorities, operational modalities and calls for proposals to identify relevant opportunities aligning with WMO's institutional priorities;
(c) Track donor and fund dialogues, engagements and funding proposals to ensure a systemic approach across the institution;
(d) Perform reviews of proposals for extra-budgetary resources;
(e) Support monitoring and reporting of use of extra-budgetary resources, also providing recommendations for improvements. This will include analysing institutional data on resource mobilization, partnerships and projects, and supporting the populating of dashboards and/or development of visuals;
(f) Contribute to provision of strategies and guidance on resource mobilization to internal stakeholders (departments and regional offices) and Members (National Meteorological and Hydrological Services);
(g) Serve as the institutional and secretariat focal point for the Alliance for Hydromet Development, also identifying opportunities to better engage Alliance members in institutional priority initiatives such as Early Warnings for All. This includes organizing and participating in relevant Alliance meetings;
(h) Track development partner dialogues, results and events, and develop development partner updates;
(i) Support provision of guidance on development partnerships to internal stakeholders and Members (National Meteorological and Hydrological Services);
(j) Carry out other relevant duties as required.
Ihr Profil
Education Master's degree or equivalent in International Development, International Relations, Development Economics, Business Management or another relevant field of study, preferably with some exposure to and/or interest in earth sciences.
Experience A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in resource mobilization including managing donor, multilateral development bank (MDB) and climate fund relationships, proposals and projects. A solid understanding of the international development and climate finance architecture is required, preferably with direct experience in managing international development partnerships with UN agencies, MDBs and INGOs. Financial and/or project management qualifications and experience would be an added advantage, as would understanding of government funding decision processes and prioritization schemes.
Other requirements Demonstrated knowledge of project management, coordination and communication skills, including excellent English-writing skills. Experience in international development, climate finance or humanitarian assistance for strengthening public services in sectors related to disaster risk management, water, climate, agriculture and/or energy. Ability to coordinate between multiple stakeholders and guide the knowledge sharing processes. Ability to seek and apply knowledge, information, and best practices from within and outside the WMO environment. Ability to work in a multicultural environment and to foster diversity and team spirit.
Languages Excellent knowledge of English (both oral and written). Knowledge of other official languages of the Organization would be an advantage.

SALARY AND ALLOWANCES Annual net base salary on initial appointment is: US$ 77326 Annual post adjustment on initial salary is: US$ 65804 (in addition to the net base salary)
