Warehouse Manager

Ihre Aufgaben

Under the supervision of the Physical Plant Director for The University of West Alabama, this position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Overseeing receiving, warehousing and distribution operations.

• Must maintain a clean, organized and safe warehouse.

• Recordkeeping, packing, data entry, reporting, product handling, storage, and scheduling.

• Ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment (example: forklift, pallet jack).

• Maintaining documentation and keeping accurate records of warehouse activity.

• Prepare parcels for mailing and shipping.

• Overseeing all warehouse employees (example: work study, part-time).

• Complete deliveries to specific departments on campus.

• Administering stock control.

• Some weekend, holiday, and overtime work will be required as needed to receive deliveries.

• Any other duties as assigned by the director, or University administrators.

  Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job.

• Transporting moderately heavy items.

• Performing deliveries to departments on campus during all times of the year.

• Operation of University vehicles.

• There may be a high level of walking required in this position.

Ihr Profil

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to interact professionally with all members of the University community and external public.

• Valid Driver's License.

• Dependable transportation.

• Customer service driven.

• Good communication, organizational, time management and mathematical skills.

  Preferred:

• Warehouse management experience.

• Proficient computer skills.

• Three (3) years of uninterrupted employment.

• Ability to operate a forklift safely and effectively.

• Exceptional understanding of warehouse procedures.
