This role will report into a Controller and will primarily be accountable for performing accounting and controlling activities for EMEA affiliates to ensure accurate and timely group and statutory financial and tax reporting., The primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Responsible for third party accounting firm engagement, oversight, and statutory compliance

Ensure local financial statement delivery with primary responsibility and decisions on accounting matters for US GAAP and Local GAAP

Fulfilling local tax regulations by liaising with tax team or coordinating services

Supports expansion plans (organic/M&A) in the EMEA region incl. integration of acquired companies into Cytel's ERP environment.

Partnering on statutory audits

Coordinating accurate, complete, and timely monthly and quarterly accounting close deliverables for consolidated reporting

Support team in India and be a close and reliable business partner.

Driving and identifying new procedures/processes or modifying existing ones which lead to improved effectiveness and appropriate quality levels.

Training and implementation of finance policies and procedures

Takes part in international finance and/or accounting project.,

Contributes to department by ensuring quality of tasks/services provided by self and others.

Bachelor's degree in business or accounting

Minimum of 10 years of relevant accounting experience

Strong accounting US GAAP or IFRS and internal control foundation, able to make judgement calls on a broad range of US/Local GAAP and internal control matters.

Experience in statutory reporting and audits

Demonstrated capability to learn quickly, being open and flexible to changes in a multinational environment.

Demonstrates a high level of analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems.

Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage multiple deliverables.

Strong project management skills

Strong English verbal and written language skills
