Fiber Technicians

Ihre Aufgaben

As a Fiber Technician at SCADA International, you will have the overall responsibility for splicing, patching, and OTDR testing of fiber optic cabling in the renewable power industry, working on-site across the United States (primarily in the Midwest). You will also support the installation and connection of servers associated with the applications, and be responsible for all fiber-related work on site.

• are motivated and able to travel for extended periods of time., We imagine the ideal candidate for this position has at least 2 years of splicing experience and is able to perform the installation, splicing, fusion, termination, testing/troubleshooting, and OTDR testing and troubleshooting of fiber optic cabling systems. It is expected that you have a High School degree, communicate fluently in English, and are used to working within tight deadlines. If you have a Technical Certificate or an OSHA 10 Certification it is considered an extra plus.

  This position requires the ability to spend significant time working while standing, kneeling, and walking on uneven ground, as well as possibly climbing ladders or being in high places greater than 15 feet, working in tight spaces, and lifting 50+ lbs., and candidates cannot be colorblind.
