Researcher (m/f/d)

Ihre Aufgaben

Researcher III participates independently in advanced academic research and development, initiates and coordinates research projects in cooperation with a research team and internationally, publishes in accordance with the requirements and standards of the University of Ostrava, applies for research funding (submitting grants, searching for opportunities for contractual cooperation on research), and supervises junior researchers. Researcher III can participate in teaching in the BA and MA programs and as a supervisor of doctoral students.,

• A four-year research proposal relating to at least one of the above-mentioned research fields, not longer than 5 standard pages.

  The first round of the selection procedure will involve the assessment of the materials sent by applicants. Only selected applicants will be invited to take part in the second round of remote interviews. Ihr Profil

• at least 5 years of research experience after PhD; at EU research level R3 - established / R4 - Leading (research group);

• PhD. or equivalent in sociology, publication activities in the given field (at least 12 publications indexed in Web of Science and/or SCOPUS databases and/or 3 monographs);

• H-index (WoS or Scopus) of at least 2 or Scholar 4 or at least 50 citations;

• experience in participation in grant projects or international research stay of a total duration of 6 months;

• Fluent English, comparable to Level B2 of the Common European Framework rReference for Languages, knowledge of other languages an advantage;

• independent, responsible and creative approach to work;

• Ability to collaborate on social aspects of energy transition with partner universities is an advantage;

• Research experience and future projects plans in the following subject:

• Transformation of the labour market since 1989 with focus on the coal mining industry (qualitative research), Changing identities of the regional workforce following modernization and transformation processes (quantitative approach).
