Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and ideally based out of our Sydney Head Office, we are looking for a Head of Analytics. This role will see you coach and mentor a motivated and collaborative team who use data and analytics to lead macro and micro scenario planning which supports commercial decision-making. This role draws heavily upon a strategic and stakeholder management skill set.,

• Shaping and implementing the company's analytics strategy, partnering with the business to drive impact and build capability

• Be the evangelist of data driven decision making in the top leadership team and at the business unit management level

• Leading the transformation of the company towards an analytically enabled organisation

• Advising the business leadership team on analytics value opportunities on an ongoing basis

• Translating business problems into specific analytics and technology enabled solutions

• Lead, build and develop a motivated Analytics core team; promote top talent in Analytics

• Develop standards and processes for analytics solution development and implementation across all critical functions

Ihr Profil

Our successful applicant will come to us with a relevant tertiary degree in Economics, Statistics or Mathematics or related technical discipline. You will love data and can translate it into a story that is relatable to all stakeholders. Other key skills we are looking for are;

• Demonstrated experience in delivering transformative change in a business context

• Demonstrated experience in working with large data sets, and analytical tools

• Strong understanding of business value drivers in agribusiness, commodity markets and supply chain

• Strong ability to translate business problems into data science opportunities including both identifying and robustly prioritising opportunities

• Strong curiosity in maintaining relevance with developments at the intersection of data science, technology and business relevant to the whole of GrainCorp

• Strong understanding of best practice use case delivery methodologies
