Ballet BC is seeking a passionate development professional to join our dynamic fundraising department. This role reports to the Director of Development and supports all development initiatives. As a central member of the Development team you're involved in all Development activities from special events and sponsorship to donor communications and grant applications.

Work closely with Ballet BC senior leadership to implement strategies to grow engagement and proceeds

Manage donor database to ensure the most accurate and up to date information is available

Manage donor stewardship, including communications, appropriate thanks yous and donor meetings with senior management

Maintain donor portfolios to support cultivation and solicitation of major donors by senior leadership

Create and distribute printed fundraising collateral in collaboration with the marketing department

Write and execute development-related email marketing campaigns in collaboration with the marketing department

Support the planning and implementation of Ballet BC's annual gala and other donor cultivation and stewardship events by overseeing invitations, RSVPs, event planning, implementation and follow-up

Responsible for tax receipts and ensuring accurate financial reporting related to donations in collaboration with the finance department

Identify opportunities to improve the donor experience
Ihr Profil

3-5 years fundraising / development experience in a Canadian non-profit environment

A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, or equivalent experience

Proven ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment, demonstrating a positive and constructive approach to work

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience with donor database software such as Patron Manager, Raiser's Edge or equivalent

Experience with email marketing platforms such as Constant Contact or Mailchimp
-
Flexibility and tolerance for a fast-paced environment that is responsive to stakeholders

Experience working with annual campaigns

Experience writing grant applications

Knowledge of Vancouver philanthropic community preferred

CFRE certification is an asset

The ability to lift 40+ pounds

Passion for dance and the cultural sector is an asset
