The International Controller (IC) is a key leader in the HEM finance organization. The IC manages the financial accounting team at the Company's international locations in Germany, Austria, and China, to ensure a strong control environment and a consistent approach to financial reporting. In addition, the IC closely collaborates with finance colleagues in Italy and the U.S. headquarters. The IC champions timely month-end close and quarter-end deliverables in accordance with US GAAP, manages day-to-day accounting operations, and ensures local entity reporting compliance with local GAAP on secondary/parallel ledgers, where applicable. The successful candidate provides mentorship and develops internal expertise, leads internal balance sheet reviews, and partners with the global accounting team to manage internal and external audits. The IC assists with the onboarding, when applicable, of newly acquired companies and roll-out of HEM policies.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
General Accounting Management, including Month-end Close and Financial Reporting

Provides leadership to geographically diverse international accounting teams to ensure timely month-end close and reporting that accurately reflects the financial performance of the Company

Oversees statutory accounting & reporting to ensure compliance with local regulations and requirements, establishing robust processes and checkpoints to ensure timelines are met

Partners with Operations Finance and cost accounting teams to ensure best practice in manufacturing and plant accounting

Collaborates across the organization to enforce thorough control of balance sheets, concise and accurate account reconciliations, and ensures reconciling items are addressed without delay

Leads the quarterly balance sheet review process with the local entity accounting teams

Mitigate reporting and control issues with entities on unintegrated ERP systems

Provides analysis and information to facilitate the completion of quarter-end Corporate reporting requirements, including Balance Sheet analytics and Annual Report schedules

Ad-hoc reporting and insightful analysis requiring strong understanding of GL and HEM reporting tools
Tax, Local Reporting and Audit Compliance

Champions transfer pricing documentation and coordinate with Huber Corporate Tax, as needed, to ensure transfer pricing studies, policies, and agreements remain updated

Establishes streamlined processes to measure statutory profitability on a recurring and consistent basis to ensure compliance with transfer pricing policies and agreements

Provides leadership during group and statutory audits for international entities, including overseeing of audit schedule preparation and liaising with auditors

Manages local tax compliance and local reporting requirements of entities, ensuring required filings are completed timely

Coordinates with Corporate Tax, as needed, to provide local leadership to manage tax provisions and reconciliations
Financial Management and Other

Partners with HEM and local finance leadership to plan, develop and execute a shared-service center to manage routine accounting responsibilities, e.g., Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

Provides financial accounting support for the implementation of the Company's common ERP platform (Oracle) for newly acquired companies

Champion of Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) reporting/analytical tools, enabling the controllership team to generate and deliver meaningful reporting and insights quickly & routinely Oversees treasury management for international entities

Generates analysis and assists the management of foreign exchange exposure

Provides finance and accounting support to the business for the setup of new legal entities and/or the onboarding of newly acquired companies
Ihr Profil

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or Equivalent required

8+ years of experience leading financial accounting for a multinational company

Public accounting audit background preferred

Experience with large ERP systems, Oracle preferred
