What will you be doing at DeepL?

At DeepL we run experimentation at scale in order to improve our products based on insights from our user data. In the Experimentation Team we develop and maintain a platform which allows product managers and engineers to easily create and analyse A/B tests on the website or apps in order to make the best possible decisions. We are a cross functional team of engineers and data scientist working together to constantly improve the ways we do experimentation and widen the audience of our platform. Ihre Aufgaben

• Team Performance & Excellence: You will be responsible for the performance of the team, the timely delivery of new features, the maintenance of existing features and the establishment of a culture of high quality.

• People Leadership: You'll inspire, develop, recruit and motivate a team of cross-functional Engineers & Data Scientists, which includes regular 1:1s, supporting them in their development, and establishing a healthy feedback culture.

• Planning: Together with the Product Manager you will share responsibility for the team's strategy, quarterly goals, business and technical metrics. You will represent the team's engineering perspective in terms of feasibility, scalability and maintainability.

• Team Process: You will ensure that the team's development process methodology is in great shape. You will build and maintain the technical roadmap with the team and invest time and resources in quality efforts. You will maintain an up-to-date knowledge base and documentation, and plan and allocate the team's resources in conjunction with your Senior Engineering Manager and Craft Leads.

• Manage team growth: You enjoy accompanying change and finding new solutions together with your team and other stakeholders in a growing and rapidly changing environment

Ihr Profil

• Hands-on technical experience in software engineering for data systems

• Deep knowledge of design and architecture for scalable infrastructure (Kafka, Kubernetes)

• Led and scaled engineering or data science teams

• Excellent communication skills with a strong sense of empathy and a solution-oriented mindset

• Fluency in English

• Experience working with Experimentation products is a strong bonus

• Experience working with DS is an advantage
