REPORTS TO : National and Divisional U.20 Chairs of Selectors and Divisional Player Development Chair

KEY RELATIONSHIPS: Divisional U.20 Management Team, RFU Staff, CB U.20 Representatives

NATURE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB: Lead the North Selection Team to aid the delivery of the U.20s programme objectives within the division.

The North U.20 Management Team is seeking to appoint a Chairman of Selectors to support the Divisional Team Manager in identifying a Divisional squad, by ensuring that a uniform player assessment and grading system is in place for all inter-CB matches.

The post-holder will ensure that the RFU objectives for the programme are achieved by leading the implementation of a consistent player assessment and selection system at both Divisional and CB level.

The post-holder will also be responsible for liaising with divisional personnel to ensure that all inter-CB matches are observed by duly appointed and recognised selectors. They will also keep up to date records of all player assessments and ensure that any player who enters the divisional domain is provide with verbal feedback during the process and written feedback at the termination of the programme

Applicants should demonstrate significant experience of coaching/selecting players at CB or Divisional level, with a recognised Coaching or Selection Award an advantage.

ACCOUNTABILITES:

- The postholder is accountable to the National Chair of Selectors (currently RFU staff and Divisional Chair) for the successful delivery of the responsibilities as outlined above.

The term for the position is 2 years subject to annual review, with two further years by mutual consent.
