About Caboolture Hospital

Caboolture Hospital Emergency Department moved in to a new expanded department December 2023 with a separate Paediatric area and state of the art equipment for clinical and non-clinical use. It is in a unique position of being an urban Emergency Department which sees all specialties, including trauma, orthopaedics and urology. Patients requiring urgent transfer to specialist services and subspecialties are transferred to other hospitals within the Hospital and Health Service. The clinical experience and supervision gained at Caboolture ED is second to one.

Most procedures in the Emergency Department are performed by the treating ED doctor, under consultant supervision when required. ED affords the registrar group the opportunity to lead teams of staff, develop their own leadership skills, and learn to manage a department.

This pivotal role provides leadership across multiple Emergency Departments, ensuring efficient and compliant patient care. You'll champion strategic planning, staff development, and innovative healthcare solutions. Your responsibilities include direct patient care, supervision, resource management, and advancing emergency medicine practices and education.
